Cisco Customer & Partner Reception at McLaren Barcelona
Cisco's EMEAR field marketing team chose the McLaren Barcelona facility as the venue for a flagship customer and partner reception, timed to coincide with ISE 2025, one of the world's largest AV and systems integration trade shows. The brief called for a polished, supplier-coordinated evening combining live musical performances, branded merchandise, professional photography, guest transport, name badges, and catering, all delivered through a single trusted local partner.

Challenges
Cisco needed a trusted Barcelona partner who could navigate the local supplier market at speed, with the brief landing in October 2024 for a February 2025 delivery. The reception required parallel coordination across entertainment, catering, photography, branded merchandise, transport, and printing, with no margin for a single point of failure. Cisco's procurement cycle also required a partner willing to act as financial intermediary, receiving funds in advance and paying every supplier directly on Cisco's behalf.
Our Solution
Akommo served as Cisco's full on-the-ground event management partner from December 2024 through to delivery in February 2025. The engagement began with a site visit at McLaren Barcelona to assess the space and plan entertainment and AV setup against the venue's specific acoustic and performance constraints.
From there, the team sourced and coordinated the full supplier roster: two live performers (Nika Mills for arrivals and Anastasia McQueen as headline act) plus a DJ for the evening, professional event photography through Liz Evans Photography, branded merchandise via Pinksheep, printed name badges through Verdi 9 Printshop, guest transport shuttles, and catering. Akommo received the full event budget in advance from Cisco, paid every supplier directly, and delivered a complete financial reconciliation with remaining budget transferred back after wrap.
