The French Riviera is many things, but cheap is certainly not one of them. To give you a bit of perspective, a very average coffee, at best, is going to cost you 5€. Add on a couple of pastries, and you'll easily be set back around 20€. Keep in mind, folks, that's just breakfast. Getting a wholesome, nourishing and affordable meal in Cannes is difficult, but we've accepted the challenge and found 20 Cheap Eats in Cannes, where you can get a meal for 20€ or less.

Where to Eat in Cannes for Under 20€

1.) The Bagel Café

The Bagel Café offers a great variety of bagel sandwiches and coffee, along with tasty milkshakes and juices. Located along the famous pedestrian shopping street of Rue Hoche, you can sit outside with a bagel, coffee, OJ, and get ready to take on the day without devastating your wallet. In the mood for lunch? They've got a range of salads, vegetarian and vegan options, and even complimentary WiFi for their guests. Be sure to order an iced latte, they're massive!

Truly one of the "coolest" cafes in Cannes, this is our go-to spot when it comes to getting a quick coffee and enormous cookie to start the day off right. Located on the busiest part of Rue Hoche, this popular cafe offers a wide range of bagels, salads, and even some killer brunch options like pancakes. What's more, they've got the largest range of coffee options in Cannes, from frappés to Nutellaccinos! Stop by for an affordable breakfast, lunch, or midday snack.

One of the more local bars in Cannes, Post Pubblico has a lot more to offer than a cold glass of wine (though we do appreciate it). For an affordable evening of drinks and French cuisine with a local atmosphere, pop over to this hole in the wall bar and get ready for a pleasant surprise. Do yourself a favour and order their baked Camembert - you will actually fall in love with an inanimate object. For around 20€ per person, you can enjoy a shared dish and 1-2 drinks, depending on how classy your choice beverage is.

For an authentic oven-baked pizza and a little taste of Italy, La Pizzaiola is a great option for a massive pizza at a not-so-massive price. During Cannes events and conferences, you'll see queues waiting for both delivery and a table in this family-style Italian restaurant. Stick to what they do best and order a pizza to keep your stomach grumbles at bay. Feel like a local and eat well at Chez Xavier during your next trip to Cannes!

19.) Dr. Falafels

Dr. Falafels offers some of the most affordable fast food in the city without having to go to McDonald's or Subway. You can get a burger, fries, and a drink for just 10€ which you'll soon discover is a total steal in Cannes. You can also order falafels (hopefully you already figured this out) for just 6€, as well as a range of vegetarian options. Add ingredients to your falafel bowls like freshly prepared vegetables and salads for a complete and nourishing meal. If you want to stay awhile and enjoy the plaza nearby, sit out on their terrace!

20.) Restaurant Al Charq

Located near the outskirts of the Cannes "banana" this Lebanese restaurant is a great option if you're staying near the InterContinental Carlton Cannes or the Martinez and need an affordable and flavourful lunch menu. For just 15€ you can get their lunch menu of the day and be full until your evening networking event or corporate dinner party. With typical dishes from Lebanon like hummus, mezze, and even sweet treats like baklava, you'll be able to satisfy your craving without breaking the bank here.
