MWC 2027 (Mobile World Congress) takes place from 1–4 March 2027 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, once again turning Barcelona into the global capital of connectivity, AI and deal-making. In practice, MWC week runs from Sunday, February 28 to Thursday, March 4, 2027, with pre-show media events, startup programmes and private receptions starting before the doors open at Fira Gran Via. For many attendees, the conversations that happen outside the halls at dinners, receptions and side events are where the most valuable deals and partnerships begin.
That's why Akommo curated this MWC 2027 Parties & Events Guide: a hand-picked list of confirmed side events, networking opportunities and official programme highlights taking place around Mobile World Congress 2027. Events running across several days are listed first, followed by a day-by-day schedule for MWC week. Every event below has been verified against the organiser's official page, and we only list events whose 2027 edition is confirmed.
It's still early in the cycle, so many of MWC's long-running parties and receptions haven't announced their 2027 dates yet. Bookmark this page, because we add new MWC 2027 events as soon as organisers confirm them. If you're also planning logistics, our guides on where to stay during MWC Barcelona by neighbourhood and where to eat near the Barcelona Fira cover the essentials.
These events run across several days of MWC week, so you can plan them around your meetings rather than on a single date.

MWC Barcelona, formerly known as Mobile World Congress, is the world's largest connectivity event, organised annually by the GSMA. MWC 2027 brings together leaders across mobile, AI, cloud, telecom, startups, investment and policy. In 2026, MWC and 4YFN together drew around 105,000 attendees. Alongside the official programme, hundreds of networking events, private receptions and parties take place across Barcelona during MWC week.
MWC 2027 runs from Monday, March 1 to Thursday, March 4, 2027 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Av. Joan Carles I, 64, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The startup event 4YFN27 runs on the same dates at Fira Gran Via's North Entrance, while Talent Arena 2027 takes place from March 1–3 at Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc. Side events start as early as Sunday, February 28.
Most MWC attendees stay either near Fira Gran Via or in central Barcelona with a quick metro connection to the venue. The most popular areas are L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, where several hotels are within walking distance of the Fira, and Sants, the closest city neighbourhood. The Gothic Quarter and El Born suit attendees who want restaurants and evening events on their doorstep. Poblenou's 22@ tech district is a favourite for those attending startup events and networking parties. Our guide to where to stay during MWC Barcelona by neighbourhood compares each area.
The best place to stay during MWC Barcelona depends on your schedule. If your days are mostly at Fira Gran Via, stay in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat or Sants to minimise travel time. If your evenings are full of dinners and side events, stay in the Gothic Quarter, El Born, Eixample or Poblenou and commute by metro. MWC attendees receive a free public transport pass for the week, which makes staying centrally practical. Book as early as possible: hotels near the Fira sell out months before the show. For groups, Akommo can source hotels and room blocks for your team.
