MWC 2027 Parties & Events Guide: Best Networking Events in Barcelona
MWC 2027 (Mobile World Congress) takes place from 1–4 March 2027 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, once again turning Barcelon...
Around 105,000 people passed through Fira Gran Via for MWC Barcelona in 2026, and by the second evening most of them had had enough of lanyards, booth coffee and conversations shouted over demo videos. The deals that start on the stand tend to close over dinner, in a room quiet enough to hear the person across the table. MWC 2027 runs from 1 to 4 March, and the private rooms that work for those dinners are among the first things in Barcelona to go.
That squeeze has already started. Repeat exhibitors hold the best-known rooms months in advance, and the shortlist gets shorter every week from here. Akommo still has availability across its Barcelona portfolio, from private rooms for 24 to halls that seat 120, but planners who confirm this autumn will be choosing their venue, while those who wait until January will be taking whatever is left. These are the seven we would book first.
If you are still mapping out the rest of the week, our MWC 2027 parties and events guide covers the networking calendar, and our guide to where to stay during MWC by neighbourhood covers accommodation.
Fira Barcelona Gran Via sits at Av. Joan Carles I, 64, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, outside Barcelona's city limits, so every client dinner in this guide involves a transfer. Metro lines L8 and L9 Sud stop at Europa | Fira, and L9 Sud also runs to the airport, which helps guests flying out on the last day.
Taxi queues at the exits get long when the halls empty in the evening, and traffic heading back into the city is heavy all week. For a dinner of more than a dozen guests, a pre-booked coach or a set of private cars is the safer plan, with the pick-up point agreed in advance.
Barcelona eats late, and local tables fill from around 21:00. For international guests after a full show day, a 20:30 or 21:00 seating gives everyone time to drop bags at the hotel without dragging the evening past midnight. For quick working lunches during the day, our guide on where to eat near the Barcelona Fira covers the options closest to the halls.
The venues below are grouped by where they sit relative to the Fira. MontjuĂŻc and Sant Antoni are the closest, reached straight along Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. Eixample and the Old Town are the heart of the city, where most delegates stay. Poblenou and the waterfront are the furthest east, best for groups based in hotels on that side of town.

Poble Espanyol was built on MontjuĂŻc for the 1929 International Exposition as a village of streets and squares drawing on architecture from across Spain. Once the day visitors leave, its lanes go quiet, and walking a group of clients through them to a private dining room is a better opening to the evening than any lobby.
The Monastery of San Miguel covers 745 m² and seats 100 for dinner in its banquet room, with a chapel, cloister and garden around it for drinks beforehand. The Guinovart Space in the same village, a circular building lit by a large skylight, works for a welcome aperitif or cocktail rather than a seated dinner. The address is Av. de Francesc Ferrer i Guà rdia, 13, in Sants-Montjuïc, and the venue holds a 4.2 Google rating.
MontjuĂŻc is the closest district in this guide to Fira Gran Via, which makes Poble Espanyol the easiest choice for a dinner that starts soon after the halls close. Early March evenings on the hill are cool, so ask whether the space you book is fully enclosed before planning drinks outside. Poble Espanyol also features in our guide to off-site venues for ICE Barcelona, held at the same Fira six weeks earlier.

Moritz was founded in Barcelona in 1856, and the family relaunched the brand in 2004 after 26 years off the market. Its old factory on Ronda de Sant Antoni was renovated by the architect Jean Nouvel into a bar, restaurant and events building, with the brewing tanks on show behind glass. It feels like a place where people actually drink beer, which loosens up a table of clients who have spent ten hours on a stand.
The Sala de Tanques covers 150 m² and seats 120 for dinner, while the Sala Louis Moritz seats 50 in 75 m². The Sala Barrileria next to it has the same size and capacity, so two separate client groups can dine in the building on the same night. The full venue has five event spaces across 768 m² at Rda. de Sant Antoni, 41, with a 4.3 Google rating.
Ronda de Sant Antoni meets Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes at Plaça Universitat, so the transfer from the Fira is one straight road. The building's character is industrial rather than formal, which suits sales and partner dinners better than a board-level evening. Fábrica Moritz also appears in our guide to event spaces for 200-person conferences for larger formats.

Windsor has served contemporary Catalan food from the main floor of a modernista building on Carrer de Còrsega since the 1990s. High ceilings, modernista lamps and a cellar of more than 450 wines set the tone, and the room never tries to be louder than the conversation at the table.
The restaurant has six private dining rooms that it arranges for groups of different sizes, with space for up to 140 guests in total, plus a garden terrace with a retractable roof that stays usable in winter. The kitchen covers rice dishes, fish and seafood alongside updated Catalan classics, and Windsor is listed in the Michelin Guide. The address is Carrer de Còrsega, 286, in Eixample.
Windsor is the pick when you want clients to eat proper Catalan food in a room locals rate, rather than in a space built for events. It closes on Sundays, so it won't work for an arrival-night dinner on 28 February, and individual room capacities should be confirmed when you book.

Hotel España has stood on Carrer de Sant Pau, just off La Rambla, since 1859. In 1903 LluĂs Domènech i Montaner, the architect of the Palau de la MĂşsica Catalana, remodelled it, and a 2010 restoration brought his interiors back to life, from a five-metre alabaster fireplace by the sculptor Eusebi Arnau to the swimming mermaids by Ramon Casas that give the SalĂłn de las Sirenas its name.
The SalĂłn de las Sirenas covers 126 m² under 7.5-metre ceilings and seats 100 at round tables. For a smaller group, the Fonda España restaurant, which reopened in 2026 after a renovation with a MartĂn Berasategui concept, takes up to 50 in 85 m². The hotel is at Carrer de Sant Pau, 9-11, in Ciutat Vella.
No other dining room in this guide matches it for modernista detail, and the Raval stays lively late, which suits a group that wants to go on after dinner. Carrer de Sant Pau is narrow, so plan the drop-off a short walk away.

Carrer de Montcada is where Barcelona's medieval merchant families built their town houses, and the Picasso Museum now occupies several of them a few doors down. Palau Dalmases was rebuilt in the 17th century over an older Gothic house, and guests arrive through a stone courtyard with a baroque carved staircase before climbing to dinner.
The SalĂłn Barroco seats 60 for dinner in 200 m², and the GalerĂa de Arte takes 150 seated for a larger group. The Patio Interior & Vintage Bar is an open-air courtyard with a covered bar, best used for a welcome drink when the weather allows. The palace is at Carrer de Montcada, 20, in Ciutat Vella, with a 4.6 Google rating.
The Born stays busy late into the evening, which gives guests somewhere to go for a last drink after dinner. Montcada is a narrow pedestrian street, so coaches and cars drop guests a few minutes' walk away, and that walk should be in the evening plan. In early March, keep the dinner itself indoors and treat the courtyard as a bonus.

Marina Port Vell sits at the foot of Barceloneta in the old harbour, where superyachts moor a short walk from the Gothic Quarter. After a week of exhibition halls, a dinner beside the water resets the mood, and the setting starts the conversation before anyone has ordered.
The Crew Lounge is a fully glazed room with views over the marina, and seats around 80 for dinner in its 136 m² indoor space. A 107 m² porch and a 136 m² terrace over the water extend it for drinks, or for a larger dinner in warmer months. The marina has more than 1,600 m² of event space in total at Moll de la Barceloneta, 1, and holds a 4.5 Google rating.
The venue is modern and relaxed rather than formal, and it suits partner dinners and team-plus-client evenings. Its outdoor spaces, including The Sea Garden, depend on the weather in early March, so plan the Crew Lounge as the dinner room and treat anything outside as a bonus.
MWC draws more than 100,000 attendees to Barcelona, and every exhibitor with a client list is looking for the same private rooms on the same three or four nights. The best-known rooms in the centre are usually held by repeat clients or priced as a premium week well before the new year, so a hold placed this autumn is far safer than one placed in January.
A few points come up on almost every MWC dinner brief:
Restaurants and hotels often price private rooms as a food and beverage minimum rather than a room fee, so compare offers on total cost per guest.
Heritage buildings and residential streets set firm end times, and Barcelona enforces noise rules, so get the latest finish time in writing.
Coaches and private cars for MWC week evenings book out early and should be confirmed alongside the venue, not after it.
Hotel rates near the Fira and in the centre climb for MWC week. Our guide to Mobile World Congress hotels in Barcelona covers the options, and our W Barcelona case study shows how Akommo beat the direct rate on 605 room nights.
Akommo sources venues, hotel rooms and transport for corporate groups during MWC and the other major congresses at the Fira, from the first shortlist through to the signed contract. Send us your date, guest count and budget, and a sourcing specialist will come back within 24 hours with options from this guide and other spaces that fit the brief.
The service is free for planners, and Akommo's negotiated contracts with venues usually secure better rates than booking direct. MWC Barcelona 2027 runs from 1 to 4 March 2027 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Av. Joan Carles I, 64, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
The Consulate's Hall at Casa Llotja de Mar seats 25 for dinner. Windsor in Eixample has six private dining rooms that it arranges for groups of different sizes, including small executive tables.
The Sala de Tanques at Fábrica Moritz seats 120, and the Golden Hall at Casa Llotja de Mar seats 110. The Salón de las Sirenas at Hotel España and the Monastery of San Miguel at Poble Espanyol each seat 100, and Windsor can host up to 140 across its private dining rooms.
Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc is the closest venue in this guide. Fábrica Moritz in Sant Antoni is reached straight along Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes.
Akommo recommends placing a hold before the end of 2026. The most sought-after private rooms in central Barcelona are often committed months before the congress.
No. Akommo's sourcing service is free for event planners, and the rates it negotiates are typically better than booking direct.
